Wearing a Mask for Protection during the COVID-19 Pandemic
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” - Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Wearing a Mask – It’s a debated topic during these difficult times, however according to recent studies that were done in the U.S., China, and Australia, key findings show that wearing a mask for both Covid-19 carriers and non-carriers greatly reduces the probability of transmission between the two.
The following info-graphic serves as a reminder on the efficacy of masks and their ability to help reduce transmissions and flatten the curve.
The same study also showed that good cleaning habits (regular hand washing and disinfecting your area) also reduces the likelihood of transmission by 77%.
So there you have it. Practice good hygiene, (maintain) social distancing, and wearing a mask are all important factors for helping to keep you and your family safe.
