We are on the verge of launching Piikani Paitapiiyssin version 2.0…final preparations are being made on the Google Play and Apple platforms and will be available for download soon. Please be patient as it can often take sometime for the app to propagate on the platform and become available.

We’re very excited about the Piikani Paitapiiyssin v2.0 app. The latest version increases the vocabulary to over 300 words, includes a story (Napii and the Rock), information on Piikani Clans, and Piikani Symbols along with the Winter Count by Bull Plume. We have also added sign language to the app, with corresponding videos which were done by Elder Jordan No Chief.

We sincerely hope that you enjoy the app and utilize it as a resource for learning the foundations of our Piikani Blackfoot Language, Piikani symbols & clans, our rich history, and sign language which was used on the prairies for thousands of years.
